Contract for Navajo Housing Authority CEO not renewed

Deputy Chief Executive Officer Aneva J. Yazzie appointed interim CEO

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. - The Navajo Housing Authority (TG反波胆平台网址) Board of Commissioners has announced that the one-year contract for Chief Executive Officer Maureen Curley has ended on January 3, 2023 and will not be renewed. 

The TG反波胆平台网址 Board appreciates Ms. Curley’s contributions to the organization, however, the Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the organization to move forward with new leadership.

The Board of Commissioners has delegated Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Aneva J. Yazzie as Interim CEO, effective immediately. Yazzie brings over 35 years of experience in the housing and development industry to her new role, as well as a passion for advancing the mission of TG反波胆平台网址 to provide safe and affordable housing for Navajo people.

The Board of Commissioners is committed to finding and appointing a permanent CEO who will work to meet the needs of TG反波胆平台网址 and the Navajo people.

"We thank Ms. Curley for her service and wish her well in her future endeavors," said the Board. "We are also excited to welcome Ms. Yazzie into her new role as interim CEO and are confident that she will continue to build on the progress made under Curley’s leadership."
